I love October. It’s the beginning of the best time of year!
Alright, alright…there’s also costumes, gratitude, and family, but today is all about the swag.
Then there’s the new year, followed by my birthday, then my anniversary, Easter, the Hubster’s birthday, Mother’s Day, and finishing up with the kiddo’s birthday, and Father’s Day!
October is like the gateway to all of my favorite days. Seriously. There’s something to celebrate every month from now through June (and I get presents and/or cake on practically all of them).
I mean, all other awesome days for presents and food aside, October is practically my birthday. It’s like October gets here and then BAM! It’s February. Really, I should just start celebrating my birthday now. It’s pretty much like it’s here anyway.
So, since it’s my birthday and all, who wants some presents?
Obviously, presents make me happy. Clearly.
I’m seriously not a greedy gift person, though. I LOVE giving gifts. And I’m pretty much the best gifter I know. So yeah.
I wanted to celebrate
my birthday October today by giving away a bunch of Halloween swag. And by giving it all away early enough that you can actually enjoy it all for Halloween.
For starters, I figured I’d give you some fun stuff to bake with, seeing as how that’s what I like to do around here. Makes sense, huh?
Then I got you some cute cupcake duds. There’s standard sized cupcake liners, mini cupcake liners, and some seriously adorable cat and spider picks. Like, seriously adorable. The spiders have little, furry, pipe cleaner legs, and the cats have pipe cleaner tails.
What would cookies and cupcakes be without sprinkles? Delicious? Yes. Cute? Of course. But they’ll be more delicious and even cuter with sprinkles, so I got you some. With spiders in it. Cause cute, candy, or cute candy spiders are the only acceptable spiders in the world.
I couldn’t resist adding some completely adorable little Halloween bowls, so I got three…cause I had to get one of each design. I can’t decide if the skeletons or the spiders are my favorite. I’m pretty sure it’s the skeletons, but those are some cute spiders.
Everyone needs some prettyyyy Halloween jewels, i.e. super awesome jack – o – lantern sunglasses (which are UV 400, so I’m protecting you…cause I rock), scary silly vampire lips and teeth (which is actually a sucker…that glows in the dark…of course), and a cute (tasty) pumpkin ring.
And Hocus Pocus, because it’s pretty much my favorite non-scary Halloween movie ever (tied with It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and The Nightmare Before Christmas, probably). And because Bette Midler rocks. Especially because Bette Midler rocks.
