S’mores Week Recap and Desserts in Jars Winners

Monday, July 16, 2012 by Darla

More s’mores! Yay!

But fiiiiiiiirst….

Our first Desserts in jars winner is……comment #16!!

Congratulations, Brandi!!

And our second winner is…

Congratulations, Julia!!

I’ll email you both shortly to get your shipping information. πŸ™‚

You guys all had such amazing ideas, I went out and bought more jars. Really. I can’t wait to try so many wonderful treats!

Even though I already did a s’more recipe in a jar, I think all of these other s’mores would be wonderful tucked into a sweet little jar, too.

Besides sharing the wonderful Campfire Bars mix from Desserts with Jars, I also shared my new favorite frappuccino recipe with you last week.

My S’more Mocha Frappuccino recipe is dangerous. Don’t say I didn’t warn you… But it’s so worth it. So. Worth. It.

I really wanted to add something gourmet to my S’mores Week, so I knew I wanted to make homemade graham crackers and marshmallows, but it was the beautiful, fresh strawberries at the farmers’ market that inspired my Neapolitan S’mores.

Fluffy, pink, strawberry marshmallows speckled with bright red bits of dried strawberries sandwiched between crisp, crunchy honey-vanilla crackers with rich milk chocolate…what’s not to love??

I didn’t include them last week, but in addition to these great recipes, here are some other S’more treats that I’ve shared with you all in the past.

Graham cracker crust? Check.

Rich chocolate cake? Check.

Fluffy toasted marshmallow meringue topping? Check.

Creamy chocolate ganache? Check.

So why haven’t you made these S’more Cupcakes yet? πŸ™‚

These S’more Cookie Sandwiches are still one of my favorite recipes. They’re fun, super easy, and crazy delicious. There’s no reason not to make these. So go. Make. Enjoy.

These S’more Brownies were my very first ever s’mores recipe, but they’re one of my best ever. Everyone who has them loves them, and they’re an impressive, but easy-to-make treat that everyone can enjoy.

Summer is the perfect time for s’mores of any kind, and the best thing about most of these recipes is that you don’t even need a campfire! If you’re stuck at home this summer and can’t toast marshmallows, but you want to capture the awesomeness of camping, any one of these recipes would be perfect. Enjoy!

What a fantastic s’mores week. We don’t get graham crackers here so I’d soooo love to try some to see how they compare to a digestive biscuit here (our supposed closest substitute).
