Are you wondering why another new day is here and I’m still not sharing any new recipes or photos with you?
I’m really sorry, but unfortunately, my blog is pretty much being held hostage by my iMac.
I have one of the best Fall recipes I’ve ever made to share with you, but I decided, before uploading any photos from not one, but two of my latest posts, that I would install Apple’s most recent update on my iMac. Much as I have hated my iPhone and iPad since the iOS 6 update, I’m a dutiful computer owner, and I like to make sure all of my stuff is up to date.
And, much like the iOS 6 update has royally screwed up my iPhone and iPad, the latest update to my iMac basically put it in a coma.
I know I sound really grumpy about the whole situation, and that’s because I am. I love Bakingdom. I love coming here with new food, photos, and stories to share with you all. And I love when you share with me. This isn’t a job to me, it’s a passion, and a pleasure. I have fun creating sweets and treats, recording them here, and sharing them with you. And even though it’s not a job, I feel a responsibility not to let you down.
Which I am totally doing, because my only means of posting right now is my iPad…no photos. 🙁
And so, I’m off to an appointment at the Apple store this morning, in the hopes that they will fix what they broke…-
… then I’m going to share the dessert bars I made for you.
They have apple cider in them. And streusel. Now do you see why I’m so grumpy about not getting to share them with you?? You’re gonna love them.
I’m sorry, friends. And, quite honestly, as a long, long time Apple user, supporter, and fanatic, I really hope they get their act together.
With any luck, I’ll be able to post a new recipe by tomorrow. Until then, you can check out all of my past Fall Recipes here:Â http://www.bakingdom.com/category/fall-recipes
Thank you for being patient and understanding!

Darla

I understand! I am also a long time Apple user, but some of their recent OS updates have done my head in. Some programmes on my MacBook Pro have lost their “save as” function, and it no longer shows the battery time remaining… I could go on! I hope they sort it all for you, it’s always frustrating when one can’t share exciting creations!

Oh friend. So sorry about your computer woes! How frustrating! You’ll be back soon, I just know it. *crosses fingers and toes*

Makes me really happy that I keep on declining upgrading the iOS on my iPhone… still using 4.3.3, ftw!
Sorry about your troubles. I love your blog, your recipes and your pictures. You make baking fun for all of us (even if I have no hope of my recreations ever looking as good as your originals!). Hopefully the Apple geniuses can help.
Ugh. Makes me glad I use Android. It’s so frustrating when “updates” mess things up. Reminds me of my mom’s recent Dell issues- their newest update causes the harddrive to fail on a ton of their computers! I hope you get it straightened out!
iOS6 is stoopid.
I too hate the iOS6 update, I mean I’ve got used to it, but I don’t like it so I feel for you, really hope your Mac is fixed soon so you can share that recipe 🙂
Technical problems are SO aggravating! Hope it gets fixed asap 🙂
So sorry about all the technical issues…sending happy thoughts your way, that it all gets fixed soon : )
So sorry about the Apple issues! How ironic that your Apple is preventing you from posting an apple recipe.
On another topic, are you watching Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” on the CW tonight? I am, despite owning it in multiple platforms. ‘Cause I’m a geek that way.
Melinda, that made me laugh. Hopefully, it did Darla too!
Also, Dr. Horrible! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I visit here often, and wish I had time to comment more but had to let you know that anything you do is WORTH THE WAIT. Good luck on the computer revival.
Ugh. Computer problems… We go to Apple so that we don’t have issues like this, but I’m getting a little less fangirl-ish lately.
I have not yet updated my phone to IOS6… Had heard some stuff that made me hold off. Hopefully they’ll fix it. I’ve got an iPhone 5 on order, so I’ll have no choice with that one, though.
Hope you get it back soon! One thing I’ve been wondering: who eats all your delicious goodies once you’ve photographed them?

Someone at Apple may need a Crucio curse .. . . good luck, tech problems are a real headache.
I enjoy what you guys tend to be up too. This sort of clever work and exposure!
Keep up the wonderful works guys I’ve included you guys to my personal blogroll.
