The Best Brownies Ever

My Favorite Brownies [Printable Version]
Makes 1 – 8 x 8 inch pan

Ingredients

1/2 cup (50 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup (64 grams) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick or 113 grams) unsalted butter
1 cup (200 grams) sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour and 8 x 8 inch glass baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sugar until combined.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.

Whisk in the dry ingredients until combined and pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 30 – 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a few crumbs clinging to it. Allow brownies to cool completely before serving.

Hi! I have a simple question. Can your brownies be used to make cake pops?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve never tried before, but I would imagine that you could (and how delicious would THAT be?!). :)

Best brownies, yes! And, I have tried baking many recipes…. just made yours for the second time ( have it bookmarked). I, by mistake, had the oven at 325 but the brownies were perfectly done at twenty five minutes and to take them over the top I frosted them with an icing from a Texas sheet cake recipe – it can go on a just from the oven pan. I am afraid I am going to eat them all by myself!!! Oh, and thank you so much.

If the brownies are as good as the batter, they will be great. Cooking them now.

I am making these brownies in Montenegro, and this is actually my first time making brownies from scratch! I grew up in the states where I always had pre made brownie mix (which is not sold here because brownie is an alien word to the people of Montenegro). Although, the batter is soooo delicious and I just put them in the oven. Much better than the American brownie mix. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe!
P.S. I am only 12 years old :)
